To Save our planet everyone must go GREEN now! We want our children and grandchildren to have a clean and safe planet to live on. It's easy to start at home using energy efficient CFL light bulbs, installing energy saving windows and doors. Reuse, recycle plastics and reduce waste in our landfills. STOP using plastic bags when buying groceries. It takes up 1000 years for a plastic bag to decompose. Try to use and reuse rags, rather than paper towels. Unplug electrical appliances when not in use to save energy. Texas is the leading state for Wind Energy and second to California for Solar Power Energy. It would be great to have a solar grid over all of the State of Texas. In this day and age, it is so important to look into alternative energy sources, like Solar power. A solar shingle roof would harness the power of the sun, create zero-emissions and zero cost electricity for your home. By using Energy-Star qualified products, you can save up to 30% on your energy bill without sacrificing style or comfort. Raise your thermostat in the summer and use your ceiling fans to help cool, which can save energy and money. Use a programmable thermostat to help save energy and fit your lifestyle. Install dimmer switches to save energy. An Eco-Dim switch can save 15% on your electricity bill and you can use only as much light as you need. When you consider that lighting accounts for nearly 20% of the average home's electricity bill, dimming can have a huge impact. There are many ways to help save the environment and reduce energy consumption. We must all work together to save our Planet! and it starts at home.
